Australian Servers upgrade

We are commissioning a new server for Australian clients, it will be coming online this week.

The new server will be replacing the existing Falcon server and clients from Kestrel will also be moved over to the new server. In addition to a major hardware upgrade this will bring the software on all servers up to date as they will be running Apache 2.2, PHP5 and MySQL5.

When the new hardware is online and testing has been completed we will be migrating all accounts on Falcon over, Nameservers will remain the same and we will be redirecting traffic from the old server to the new server so there will be no loss in traffic.

To facilitate the move for Kestrel clients we will be redirecting the nameservers and accounts on Kestrel as we move accounts as well.

There will be an overlap of two weeks before we decommission the old servers.

All accounts on Falcon have now been moved over to the new hardware and redirection is in place.

All accounts on Kestrel have now been moved over to the new hardware and redirection is in place. The existing nameservers have also been updated and have been parked on top of the Falcon ones.
